Suivez-nous. Yes, it does take a while to get there from the main roads, but my goodness it is definitely worth it. We saw lots of wildlife, plants and animals, learned about the local history, geology and ate gentian root as starter to our picnic- yummy! The rooms were spacious, superbly furnished and comfortable (and impeccably clean). Nearby Vic sur Cere provides an Intermarche, Post Office and cash machines.

In the Brezons valley, we recommend the Buron de la Combe de la Saure (06.19.06.29.54), access by car via a carriage track from the Col de la Griffoul, not far from Prat-de-Bouc (open only in summer). Spectacular scenery is everywhere - you just have to get used to asking "how far away is....?" For the one day when evening meals are not available, we dined out at Auberge de la Montaine, at nearby Pailerols. à partir de 6€ The second night we ate at La Roussiere - from the aperitifs, through to the cheese and dessert, it was also really delicious and we very much enjoyed meeting the other guests staying there. Thanks again toAttentive from the moment of our arrival, Christian & Brigitte were excellent hosts. Finally the breakfasts and dinners are excellent including local ingredients and specialties, many of them homemade.
